I can see the rim of my IOL implant—can it be corrected?

Answer:
While it is uncommon, IOLs can shift in position and this can produce a combination of symptoms including blurriness and glare. Fortunately, your IOL should never slide out of your eye, but if the symptoms become troublesome, there are surgical procedures to reposition and more steadfastly hold an IOL in place. Talking with an experienced cataract surgeon, preferably the one who performed your procedure, would be a good place to begin.
