If my dilated pupil resolved, should I still go see my ophthalmologist?
FEB 19, 2022
Last night my pupil was dilated and slow to respond to light. At the hospital it was suspected to be Adie’s pupil
and Horner's syndrome/3rd nerve palsy were ruled out. If my symptoms have improved, should I still see my ophthalmologist tomorrow morning?
Yes. It would be very important for you to see an ophthalmologist. There are several things that can cause a temporary dilated pupil. For instance if you used a scopolomine patch for nausea and touched your eye, etc. These and other possibilities can be discussed with your doctor.
