How Long Do IOLs (intraocular lenses) Last?
OCT 18, 2012
Question:
How long do IOLs last?
Answer:
IOLs (intraocular lenses) last longer than anyone can live. I answer this question in my office with a joke and tell patients that I guarantee that the IOL will last 10,000 years. I offer a refund if the IOL lasts less than 10,000 years. My intent is not to be unkind or flippant, but to assure patients that the lens life is nothing to worry about.
