• Is it normal to have large pupils in both eyes?

    Question:

I was born with naturally large pupils, but I do not have any conditions or take medications that may cause this. They’re both the same size and I've never had a problem with my eyes, except needing glasses. I’m just curious why my pupils are so large all the time.

    Answer:

There can be a normal variation of pupil size. From your description, it is doubtful your large pupils point to a larger issue. This is assuming healthy eyes without underlying disease. Which is to say only an in-person exam can confirm your pupils are of natural variation.
