• Is there a cure for myelinated retinal nerve fiber layer?

    Question:

Is there a cure for myelinated retinal nerve fiber layer?

    Answer:

Most cases of myelinated retinal nerve fiber layer (MRNF) are congenital, or present at birth. It’s when there are white patches inside of the eye on the retina (light sensitive tissue lining the back wall of the eye). Unfortunately, there is no treatment or cure for MRNF. However, this condition is usually benign and should not affect your vision.
