LASIK surgery is not advised if cataracts are affecting your vision. Moreover, having any amount of cataract means that the good vision gained from LASIK may be short lived as the cataract will continue to grow and eventually change your vision. It is actually common for LASIK to be done after cataract surgery to fine-tune the patient’s vision.
