Can I go to tanning beds a year after cataract surgery?

Answer:
Even with the use of protective goggles, and despite there being no studies showing damage to the eye when using goggles, I am not an advocate of tanning beds. The risks associated with tanning beds—including skin cancer and potential eye damage—should motivate one to avoid them altogether. However, if you wish to go to the tanning bed, this activity would not carry any additional risk from your recent cataract surgery.
