  • What’s the chance my friend gets uveitis in his other eye?

     I have a friend whose uveitis blinded one eye when he was 2. What’s the chance his left eye will get uveitis in the future? With one eye, is it more likely that eye will age quicker than people using two eyes?

     There are many different causes of uveitis, and while some types affect both eyes, others only affect one eye. There is no additional strain on the better-seeing eye for individuals who have one eye with useful vision.
