Question:
I had an upper and lower eyelid surgery. In my right eye a clear film formed, which the doctor told me is temporary. This is my fourth week and I still have it. Should I see my eye doctor to check my eyes right away?
Answer:
It seems that you have a bit of chemosis or swelling of the conjunctiva (thin transparent membrane covering the white of the eye). Your doctor is correct. It likely will go away over time. However I do suggest you see your ophthalmologist to determine if there is dryness or another contributing factor to the swelling that may be improved with drops, patching, etc.
