• Will I need a new prescription for my eyeglasses if I just developed wet AMD?

I have recently developed wet AMD in my left eye. Does this mean I would need a new prescription for my eyeglasses?

The development of wet AMD usually should not lead to the need for a change in your eyeglasses prescription, but if you have persistent fluid from leaking blood vessels in the macula, you may need a slight adjustment to your prescription. Once your wet AMD is stable, it is reasonable to get a new refraction (glasses check) to see if there has been any change.
