Will a monofocal IOL improve myopia as well as a toric IOL?
Both a monofocal IOL and a toric IOL can correct myopia (nearsightedness). However, if you have astigmatism, your vision without glasses will be better with a toric IOL than with a monofocal IOL. The toric lens can correct both myopia and astigmatism while the monofocal lens can only address the myopia.
