I have been diagnosed with a macular wrinkle (also known as a macular pucker or an epiretinal membrane) and am now seeing black streaks in my vision. Are these symptoms a result of the macular wrinkle?
A macular wrinkle most often causes a distorted or wavy image. If you are seeing black streaks, that is likely something different. An exam by a comprehensive ophthalmologist or retina specialist is recommended.
