Who Is at Risk for Choroidal Neovascular Membranes?
Choroidal neovascular membranes (CNVM) are most commonly found in people age 50 and older. The risk grows with age. This is because wet age-related macular degeneration accounts for most patients with CNVM.
People with risk factors for different eye diseases or who have an eye injury may develop CNVM at a younger age.
