Allergan Seeks Ophthalmologist Support for Research and Development Funding

Allergan, a developer of leading ophthalmic products, is fighting a hostile takeover attempt by Canadian-based Valeant Pharmaceuticals. Valeant has publicly stated that if it acquires Allergan, it intends to make major cuts in research funding.
