Nebraska’s Scope-of-Practice Review Committee Rejects Optometric Laser Surgery
The Nebraska Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons successfully argued that patient access in the state was sufficient, and optometrists did not have sufficient training to perform the surgery before a key committee blocked approval by a 3-2 vote.
