Ophthalmologists in Puerto Rico Derail Optometric Surgery Bill

Ophthalmologists in Puerto Rico achieved a significant victory in the fight to protect patient safety this month by derailing an optometric surgery bill in the Legislative Assembly of Puerto Rico. The Puerto Rico Society of Ophthalmology, with support from the Academy, conducted a multifaceted public education campaign.
