    Despite significant lobbying by physicians and hospitals, Congress’ latest COVID-19 relief bill will not extend the current moratorium on the sequestration cuts through the COVID-19 public health emergency, primarily due to technical issues related to the budget process being used to pass the relief legislation. Preventing reinstatement of the 2% Medicare cut will now be a harder lift with less than a month to pass an extension of the current moratorium.
