Report Details EHR Interoperability Problems, Calls for End to Vendors’ ‘Information Blocking’
A new report to Congress draws attention to electronic health record vendors for “blocking” physician efforts to use and share EHR data. In the 39-page report requested by Congress, the Office of the National Coordinator details the extent of “information blocking.” The report stops short of promising direct actions to address the problem, but gives some momentum to Academy efforts to advance a legislative solution.
