Transition to ICD-10 Almost Certain for Oct. 1
If a key congressional subcommittee has its way, the long-awaited implementation of the 10th edition of the International Classification of Diseases will move forward as planned Oct.1. Congressional leaders made it clear during the Examining ICD-10 Implementation hearing this week, that they will not support delays in transitioning to the new medical billing system.
