The Changing Face of Ophthalmology
During AAO 2018, medical students in the Minority Ophthalmology Mentoring program spent two days meeting their mentors and learning about careers in ophthalmology. A partnership between the Academy and the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology, the program aims to attract under-represented minorities, African Americans, Hispanics and Native Americans, to ophthalmology.
