Run for Vision Raises More Than $16,000
During Sunday’s Run for Vision, 275 AAO 2015 attendees raised more than $16,000 for the Eye Bank Association of America. This year’s winner, Gauti Jóhannesson, MD, finished the 5-km course in 16:56 minutes. In 14th place, the fastest woman was Emily Schneider, who completed the course in 21:18 minutes.
The runners ranged in age from 23 to 77. The 30th annual Run for Vision was once again sponsored by Bausch + Lomb. It took place 3 miles outside of Las Vegas, and did not shut down The Strip.
