The Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) launched on Jan. 1, 2017. MIPS is part of the new Medicare physician payment system, the Quality Payment Program.
To help you transition to MIPS, the Academy has developed a rich range of ophthalmic-specific tools and materials (see “Your 8-Step To-Do List for MIPS Resources,” below), including a 5-part series that EyeNet published in early 2017. These 5 articles have been updated and incorporated into EyeNet‘s MIPS Manual 2017, which—with advertising support from Regeneron—was mailed to U.S. Academy and AAOE members in August 2017.
