    CMS announces some changes. In November 2019, CMS announced some changes to the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) for the 2020 performance year—with a few changes retroactive to 2019. 

    Why MIPS matters? If you don’t participate in MIPS in 2020, your 2022 Medicare Part B payments may be subject to a –9% penalty.
