FDA OKs new indication for femtosecond laser

The U.S. FDA has cleared the creation of intracorneal pockets with the iFS femtosecond laser system, according to Abbott Medical Optics.

The software upgrade allows surgeons to create a corneal channel for inserting a corneal inlay device, offering full control of pocket settings, as well as onscreen patient parameter adjustments.
