Generic Lumigan receives FDA approval

Lupin Pharmaceuticals announced that its generic equivalent of Allergan’s Lumigan Ophthalmic Solution has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Approval of the bimatoprost ophthalmic solution 0.03% follows an FDA audit of the company’s facility in Indore, India. The product is indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
