Each point shows the mean change from baseline in best-corrected visual acuity measured in letters read at 4 meters on an Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy (ETDRS) chart for each treatment group: ranibizumab injection alone (diamonds), focal or grid laser photocoagulation alone (rectangles), or ranibizumab plus laser photocoagulation (triangles). For each time point, data were included for all patients who remained in the trial at that time.
