Anterior extension of a ciliary body melanoma may be visible only by gonioscopy (arrows) (C), or the tumor may invade the anterior chamber (D) and extrasclerally (arrow) through emissary channels (E), whereas a ring melanoma (F) grows circumferentially within the ciliary body and may extend into the anterior chamber.
