    Worsening of diabetic retinopathy during pregnancy in upper fundus photos, despite her diabetes being controlled (a., b.). Improvement of diabetic retinopathy, decreasing to mild nonproliferative retinopathy after giving birth (c., d.) as seen in lower two fundus photographs. The patient maintained a HgA1c less than 6.0% throughout her pregnancy.
