    Microbiology findings were consistent with Pthirus pubis. A 30-year-old woman presented with eye irritation and intense itchiness of her eyelashes and scaly periorbital skin. She had blurry vision as she had been shampooing and cleansing eyelashes to removes organisms she noted on her eyelashes. Her husband, age 31 also noted organisms, but was asymptomatic. Their 4-month-old baby also was noted to have organisms in his eyelashes. Organisms were visualized on slit-lamp examination and removed with forceps. Microbiology findings were consistent with Pthirus pubis.
