    Glaucoma, Retina/Vitreous

Normal retina, 6 mm transverse width. The nerve fiber layer (NFL) is highly backscattered and increases in thickness closer to the neuroretinal rim. The RPE and choriocapillaris together are a highly backscattered (red) band seen as a posterior boundary. Other moderately reflective layers include the junction between the photoreceptor inner (IS) and outer segments (OS), and the inner (IPL) and outer plexiform layers (OPL). Minimally reflective layers include the inner (INL) and outer nuclear layers (ONL).
