    Oculoplastics/Orbit

Artist's conception of the orbital septum, demonstrating the three fat pads located behind it. The orbital septum supports the globe and periorbital structures and keeps them from protruding at its superior attachment to the inferior tarsal plate. The upper part of the septum is covered by pretarsal orbicularis fibers.
