    Retina/Vitreous

Pigmentary retinopathy (retinitis pigmentosa). (A) Variable hyperfluorescence is caused by window deficits in retinal pigment epithelium. Pigment blocks fluorescence from blood in retinal vessels and from choroid. (B) Late phase shows intense fluorescence from choriocapillaris due to attenuation and loss of pigment from retinal pigment epithelium. Note that passage of dye is blocked, but that its fluorescence is not. Lesions is a window defect.
