Image from a patient shot in the right inferotemporal orbit with a bullet, causing retinal sclopetaria. The bullet’s path missed the globe by several millimeters. The patient acutely lost visual acuity. This photograph was taken 2 months after her injury and shows large areas of subretinal proliferation and retinal pigment epithelial hyperplasia. Her visual acuity returned to 20/70
