    (A) Type 2 (non-insulin dependent) diabetic patient with moderate NVD but few background changes. (B) Two scatter treatments of about 600 spots each caused prompt resolution of NVD. Burns were placed one burn width apart, and wide berth was given around posterior pole. This type of treatment maximized peripheral and night vision in this patient, whose PDR was relatively easy to control.
