    Temporary tarsorrhaphy techniques. a. For a lateral tarsorrhaphy, a 4-0 silk suture is passed through the gray line, pretarsal skin, and bolster. b. The suture is pulled tightly and tied with a slip knot to facilitate lid closure. c. For a central tarsorrhaphy, suture ends are left long and taped to brow.
