AGS 2017
Glaucoma, IOP and Aqueous Flow, Surgical Management

In this interview from AGS 2017, Dr. Thomas W. Samuelson describes the 5 tools today’s glaucoma surgeon should master:

    1. Phaco surgery, as this alone is shown to lower pressure in glaucomatous eyes
    2. Canal surgery
    3. Superciliary surgery
    4. Transcleral surgery
    5. Cilioablation

Dr. Samuelson believes all of these procedures are necessary to give patients optimal, individualized treatments that balance the surgical risk with the disease risk.
