In this interview from ASCRS 2015, Dr. Davinder Grover discusses new approaches to glaucoma filtering surgery. He says the Xen gel stent from AqueSys has shown promise in reducing IOP without the inherent risk of traditional drainage surgery. The stent is a soft, permanent, non-migrating, subconjunctival implant that shunts fluid from the anterior chamber to the subconjunctival space.
