Advantages of MicroPulse P3 Cyclophotocoagulation

In this EyeNet interview from Glaucoma 360, Dr. Regine Pappas describes the benefits of using transscleral cyclophotocoagulation to manage patients with glaucoma. She uses the MicroPulse P3 cyclophotocoagulation device to treat patients who need a little extra help to achieve their target IOP. A study in the Journal of Glaucoma showed that the patients treated with this laser are able to maintain good overall and central VA, even in cases of advanced glaucoma. The procedure provides a useful alternative to incisional surgery and could also help titrate treatments, she explains.
