Glaucoma, IOP and Aqueous Flow
In this interview from AAO 2019, Dr. Murray Johnstone offers insights on the aqueous outflow pathway. As he described in the AGS Subspecialty Day lecture, aqueous outflow has long been considered a stable, static process. But in fact, it is a highly dynamic system of trabecular meshwork with valves that must move properly in order to function. Dr. Johnstone described technology developed in the last few years to measure trabecular meshwork function in real time, as well as other advances in the field.
