At the Technological Confluence of Glaucoma Clinical Care and Research

In this interview from AAO 2018, Dr. Sayoko E. Moroi reviews her Robert N. Shaffer Lecture on the importance of translational lab research. She explains that although it is important to adhere to best practices, new technology may help manage patients with glaucoma and therefore need to be considered. Advancement in precision medicine may also facilitate better diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. Dr. Moroi also touches on the role of mentorship during the course of her career.
