    In this interview from ASCRS 2021, Dr. Roberto Pineda reports the biomechanics of flanged intrascleral haptic fixation of 3-piece IOLs. Comparison of 4 different common 3-piece IOLs revealed that the Zeiss CT Lucia lens with a 30-gauge hypodermic needle provided the best stability, followed by the LI61AO. Dr. Pineda noticed there was a significant difference when using the CT Lucia lens with a 27-gauge needle.
