Cornea/External Disease, Dry Eye
In this interview from AAO 2019, Dr. Anat Galor discusses how to diagnose and manage dry eye disease. Dry eye symptoms, she explains, is an umbrella term; there can be many causes for these symptoms. She recommends having a systematic approach to sort out symptoms. In her practice, she assesses blink rate, eyelid anatomy, tests for laxity, fluorescein strip tests and Schirmer’s test. Adjunctive testing—such as InflammaDry—can also be useful indicators of dry eye disease.
