    Comprehensive Ophthalmology, Glaucoma

In this interview from AAO 2019, Drs. John Shepherd and Mona Kaleem discuss vision rehabilitation for patients with glaucoma. Vision loss in these patients, he explains, often presents as a blur or missing areas of vision and can cause patients to trip, fall or bump into things. Screening questionnaires that include functional questions, such as the GAL-9, are useful to assess an individual’s functional difficulties and prompt conversations about vision rehabilitation. Some potential strategies include scanning techniques or adaptive equipment.
