In this interview from AAO 2017, Dr. Jeffrey Gross discusses his treatment paradigm for managing AMD patients with thick, submacular hemorrhage. Initially, he used vitrectomy with pneumatic displacement. However, some patients prefer to avoid surgical interventions. In his experience, patients on an anti-VEGF monotherapy can experience significant anatomic and visual gains.
