Glaucoma, Surgical Management
In this interview from ASCRS 2021, Dr. Leon Herndon offers tips for comprehensive surgeons performing MIGS procedures. When starting out, he suggests beginning with open-angle glaucoma cases, particularly pseudophakic eyes with a deep chamber. He recommends becoming comfortable with the angle and intraoperative gonioscopy. Once a surgeon is comfortable with the anatomy and the view, they can more easily move on to other options.
