    In this interview from ASCRS 2021, Dr. Nicole Fram offers tips for IOL exchanges. She recommends surgeons be clear why they are performing an IOL exchange and to make sure to take time to remove the lens safely. In some cases, if the haptics are stuck it may be appropriate to amputate them. When inflating the bag, she prefers using the Donnenfeld Femtosecond spatula instead of using a sharp edge.
