In this interview from AAO 2015, Dr. Charles Wykoff discusses results from his randomized, controlled trial comparing treat-and-extend dosing with fixed monthly dosing, the gold standard in AMD management. Wykoff and colleagues found that visual and anatomic outcomes were similar between regimens, but the monthly group had significantly more injections; 13 compared to 10. Dr. Wykoff also describes his protocol for optimal application of the treat-and-extend regimen.
