Even with the popularity of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), Dr. Singh believes they will not completely replace trabeculectomy. One significant benefit of trabeculectomy is that the technique is titratable. He suggests young physicians learn trabeculectomy during their training, as it can be a challenging technique to master.
