In this interview from ASRS 2018, Dr. Kasra Rezaei discusses the use of ultra-widefield OCT angiography (OCTA) for monitoring patients with diabetic retinopathy. This modality permits approximately 100 degrees of imaging, and pinpoints the areas of nonperfusion with worsening severity of diabetic retinopathy. OCTA's major advantage includes its noninvasive nature, so imaging can be done as often as necessary.
