Xen Gel Stent: Patient Selection and Key Pearls

In this interview from AAO 2021,  Dr. Analisa Arosemena discusses her experience using the Xen Gel Stent, from the first surgery in the United States following FDA approval to her current use of the device. Dr. Arosemena shares her advice for patient selection and indications, stressing that patients have adequate exposure and healthy conjunctiva. She also discusses her preferred ab externo approach for the stent, and adjunctive use of mitomycin C (MMC) and triamcinolone.
